Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R

The fastest motorcycle in the world.

A machine that captivates the gaze. I've long been fascinated by the the Suzuki Hayabusa. I think it will be only a short time until I own one.

Each trip to the dealer to check out this bike is like a pilgrimage to Mecca. To those of us who saw the sportbike evolve over the last 15 years. From the '86 GSXR750 to where we stand today, this bike is by far the pinnacle of progress.

When I look at it- it seem huge. But once I'm riding, it feels like a toy.

The Hayabusa in unlike anything I have ever ridden before. It's more refined than my ZX-11. When you rev the motor and accelerate off into the distance, it feels designed for this. As if it's sole purpose were entrenched in allowing the ride to travel at any velocity in relative safety and ease.

I realize now the level of discipline and restraint it requires to own this bike. Well, maybe I wouldn't call it restraint, but just plain discipline. The whole package takes some readjusting as to what you might think of as normal. You're headed down the freeway, the speedometer indicates 70 mph, yet it barely seems to have risen around it's circular path.

One of the most interesting things I ever read about the Hayabusa is instead of pulling wheelies when you grab a fistful of throttle, instead the bike will rocket forward and slowly pull the front tire off the ground.

When you sit upon this bike, it has a wondrous feel that occurs when your hands contact the handlebars. It's a tingle that flows through your wrists, arms, shoulders and causes a sensation of warmth to flow across your chest.

Torque is a wonderful thing.

Horsepower,
is a very wonderful thing

Koenigsegg CCR

The Swedish Koenigsegg supercar is the second most powerful series-produced car today.
Koenigsegg CCR has a very powerful engine thanks to the Swedish Lysholm twin-screw compressor and a new exhaust system made of titanium.
This takes the engine’s power output to the extreme peak value of 806 hp at 6.900 rpm. The torque curve also shows high values over a broad revolution band with a peak value of 920 Nm (678 ftlb) at 5.700 rpm.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP640

With the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, the designers at the Lamborghini Style Centre maintained the traditional Lamborghini principles of purism, sport and function. The Murciélago LP640 now appears even more aggressive, with the new front and rear bumpers contributing significantly to its appearance.
The engine of the new Murcielago LP640 has undergone outstanding and radical modification. The classic V-engine is boosted to 6.5 litres. The already extraordinary 580 hp engine power has now been elevated to an impressive peak of 640 hp at 8,000 rpm.
The increase in power correlates with an increase in performance. The maximum speed is now 340 km/h (before 330 km/h). The excellent performance of the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 means it can now accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds (0.4 seconds faster than the previous model).
Lamborghini engineers also improved the torque development. The engine is enhanced by a continuous variable timing system (intake and exhaust side) and a drive-by-wire engine management system.

Just like its predecessors, the Murciélago LP640 features permanent four-wheel drive, based on the reliable Lamborghini VT (Viscous Traction) system. The system is self-governing and does not feature any electronic controls.

Because of the "Privilegio" customisation program, any Murciélago LP640 can be transformed into a customised sports car. For example, the cockpit can be enhanced with an extremely refined carbon finish applied to the air conditioning control panel, the control lever console and the parking brake.

Mustang Concept Car

The Mustang Giugiaro concept car is a one-off design study by Fabrizio Giugiaro, styling director of Italdesign. Although Ford officials aren't saying anything, there is speculation that Giugiaro concept might preview some aspects of the next-generation Mustang. This Mustang concept car appears more compact than the production car, beacause of a reduction of the rear overhang and a signature Giugiaro “trick” of tapering the angles on the car to the limit of its mechanical outlines. The vibrant orange concept is also wider than the production version. The 500 horsepower car features a single curved glass panel that bridges the windshield and rear window, serving as the concept’s roof.Ford Mustang concept car for auto enthusiasts.
